This Michigan City Was Named a Top Trending City for Airbnb This Fall
If you live in Michigan, you may not consider Ann Arbor a vacation hot spot. However, if you're a football fan, it makes total sense.
Airbnb recently released the list of this year’s top trending destinations in the US for upcoming fall travel, based on nights booked. Thanks to the upcoming football season, Ann Arbor comes in at number 7 on the list of 10.
According to WDIV, in 2018, Ann Arbor Airbnb hosts earned $1.55 million during Michigan games. That number shot up to $4 million in fall 2021, with an average host payout of almost $6,000 between September through December.
Football is probably the number one reason people travel to Ann Arbor to stay at an Airbnb. The other reason people would be travelling to "Tree Town" in the fall is because of the amazing fall colors. Ann Arbor truly is one of Michigan's most beautiful cities in the fall.
Ann Arbor's "Tree Town" nickname stems from the dense forestation of its parks and residential areas. The city contains more than 50,000 trees along its streets and an equal number in parks. Do yourself a favor this fall, take a drive to Ann Arbor and just cruise up and down its streets. The number of trees and awesome colors will floor you.
