Once per year we get treated to a day game with the Flint Firebirds and today is that day.

If you are looking for some late morning/early afternoon hockey action, the Flint Firebirds are back on the ice for an 11 am game today. They will be taking on the Sarnia Sting for their Annual School Day Game. The energy will definitely be at an all time high as the Flint Firebirds are bussing in school kids from Flint, as well as Genesee, Shiawassee, and Lapeer counties for the game. To top it all off, students, teachers, and chaperones can grab discounted tickets for just five bucks.

Hopefully, history will be repeating itself as the Firebirds have beaten the Sarnia Sting during the first two School Day games. To add insult to injury, the Firebirds were pushed toward victory with a hat-trick in each game.

If you can't make today's game, don't worry, they will be back in action this Friday and Saturday. On Friday they travel to Budweiser Gardens to take on the London Knights and will return to home ice on Saturday to go up against the Ottawa 67's.
