Video Shows Man Lighting Michigan Strip Mall on Fire
Sometimes it takes investigators a while to determine whether or not a fire was accidental or a case of arson. In this case, it's clearly arson as can see in the surveillance video above.
According to WDIV, a man poured gas outside a strip mall near the intersection of Inkster and Cherry Hill roads and threw a match onto it, igniting a fire that destroyed five businesses.
At first, he tried to throw a brick through the window of one of the businesses but after a failed attempt he lit the place on fire. After the building caught fire he took off running and wasn't seen again.
The man is about 6 feet to 6 feet, 4 inches tall with a light complexion. He weighs about 180-200 pounds.
Anyone with information about the arson is asked to call Inkster police at 313-563-9850
