Michigan Man Lights Ex-Girlfriend’s Van On Fire
A man was arrested over the weekend after lighting his ex-girlfriend's car on fire in Sanilac County. He was also charged with a number of other felony and misdemeanor charges.
The police were alerted to the problem around 1 am on Saturday morning. The 34-year-old victim called the police after her ex-boyfriend was pounding on her door and throwing things at her window. When police arrived they found that her Chevy van was set ablaze.
After a quick search, they located the 46-year-old man and his vehicle and were lead on a chase just east of Minden City. Once they finally were able to get the vehicle pulled over the man was arrested. I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that he was drunk. The police also found an unloaded firearm in the vehicle.
The man has been charged with a number of things including OWI, arson, stolen motor vehicle, and more.
