The big day is this Friday, how are you kicking off your St. Paddy's Day. Get the celebration started at some of these great locations and then join us at the Flint Farmer's Market for the St. Paddy's Day Beer Festival.  

Kick off your day with these great specials at some of my favorite spots around the area.

  • The Corner Bar & Grill in Fenton

    • Open at 9 a.m.
    • Special food menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner including Guinness pancakes and corned beef and cabbage dinners.
    • Stop by with your coworkers at lunch and hop in the free photo booth
    • Live music from Rook & Hook and Healer
  • Scooters Bar & Grill in Flint

    • Open at 9 a.m.
    • Traditional Irish dishes including a boiled cabbage dinner. They rocked through over 150 lbs of this delishousness last year!
    • Partake in Irish drink specials and green beer.
    • Live DJ and plenty of prizes and giveaways throughout the day.
  • The Machine Shop

    • A St. Paddy's Day bash with Ironsnake! Need I say more?
  • Buddha's Bar & Grill in Fenton

    • Open at noon
    • Try mom's homemade, slow cooked for 12 hours, corned beef and cabbage sandwiches, cabbage soup, and corned beef broiled dinners. Mom's corned beef is one of my favorites every year, be sure to get yours while supplies last.
    • Scott Green, the one man band that plays guitar, drums, harmonica, and sings, will perform from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a live DJ.
  • Timothy's Pub in Flint

    • Home of the "Maggie Meadows Mexi-Burger."
    • Enjoy their highly sough after corned beef and cabbage dinner.
    • Live music from Three Grand Band playing from noon until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. along with traditional pub sing-a-longs.
  • The Point Bar & Grill in Grand Blanc

    • Open at 10 a.m.
    • Traditional boiled dinners and corned beef sandwiches available.
    • Kick start your day with specials on breakfast shots, Irish car bombs, and green beer.
  • The Barn in Fenton

    • The celebration begins Thursday night at 9 p.m. with all of their St. Paddy's Day specials.
    • They will also be holding a curling tournament starting on Saturday.
  • Sweetwater Bar & Grill in Grand Blanc

    • Open at 9 a.m.
    • Grab yourself a $2 tall domestic until 5 p.m. with happy hour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on St. Paddy's Day.
  • The Fire Hall in Fenton

    • They will have an Irish twist their awesome mac & cheese with Corned Beef mac.
    • Drink specials will include the Thin Lizzy which features Jameson and the Dropkick Murphy Shake with Bushmills, Baileys, coffee ice cream, and more. You can also pick up a Fenton Fire Hall Irish Red Ale for just $3 a pick.

Once you have successfully warmed up your liver, be sure to join us in downtown Flint for the 1/2K Draft Dash presented by Irish Road Dental. Make the 1,600 foot journey across the finish line and receive a full beer as you make your way into the Flint Farmer's Market.
