Sour Jane...raw power...Flint style!
Sick Smile is a band from Detroit, Michigan. With music that is groove based and danceable, it retains a rock edge but projects a catchy pop feel. This combination of different genres produces a familiar yet fresh sound that is highly listenable. The foundation of the group is built on solid and tasteful drumming. A thick layer of bass holds down the bottom end and rounds out the rhythm section. The guitarist provides texture and melody in an understated yet consistent manner. Completing the group is one high-energy front man born to perform.
Marching through the ashes Of a broken society! Underneath the fake smiles and hidden motives of a man is his true self. UNDERNEATH IT ALL there is motive. This Band speaks truth, they call it like they see it exposing the world through smashing guitars and heart pounding lyrics. Their form Of expression is true To themselves, and those who can relate will be lifted and driven. Produced by Mike Hasty Of (walls Of jericho) at glorybound studios
For some time, founding members Garth Oliver and Alex Smith struggled to get a legitimate project up and running. This yea, the long journey led them to the formation of Fighting For The Sky (March 2012), with the addition of Christian Smith, Alex's brother. FFTS attempts to bring a creative and modern sound to the rock scene. Currently an ongoing local project, the band is hard at work creating more music and booking shows.
