I can't imagine walking into my kitchen only to find an 11-foot alligator staring me down. Well, that's exactly what happened recently to a woman in Florida.

According to CBS This Morning, Clearwater, Florida, resident Mary Wischhusen got quite the wakeup call around 3:30 Friday morning. An 11-foot alligator broke into her home through a low kitchen window.

That big bastard spent an hour in the woman's home before being taken out by trappers. He was thrashing about and knocking over furniture including a wine rack which left broken glass everywhere. In the video, it looks like there's blood on the floor but I think it's just wine. The gator did get some cuts from the broken glass though.

Apparently, this is pretty common in Florida, more common than I thought as over 8,000 alligators were removed from Florida homes in 2018.

What's the strangest animal you've ever found in your house?
