Technology is advancing so fast it's hard to even keep up with everything that is becoming available to us.

This year the first FDA approved digital pill will become available to patients. The pill looks like every other pill but on the inside, it's nothing we've ever seen before. The sensor is the size of a grain of sand and will be dispensed inside of a special version of Abilify, a mental health medication.

According to Circa, when swallowed, the tiny sensor actually becomes activated in the stomach and starts to emit a signal.It's then detected with a second sensor, which is like a wearable band-aid, which itself is a sensor that is listening for... things like heart rate, heartbeat variability, and physical activity.
