Ford Recalls Nearly 270K Cars with Door Problems
On Wednesday, 3/25/20, Ford Motor Company issued a recall on nearly 270,000 vehicles for a possible problem with the doors.
Ford is recalling these cars to fix a problem that may cause the doors to open unexpectedly or not even close. The problem stems from a faulty door latch that could crack over time, especially in the heat, and cause problems with opening and closing the doors.
The models of vehicles included in the recall are:
- 2014-2016 Ford Fusion
- 2014-2016 Lincoln MKZ
- 2014-2015 Ford Fiesta
The vehicles in the recall have been previously registered in the states of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington. Dealers will replace and fix the faulty part and the reference number is 20S15.
