'Metal Gear Solid' creator Hideo Kojima revealed a new trailer today at GDC 13, which confirms what we suspected all along -- that 'Metal Gear Solid 5,' 'Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes' and the mysterious 'The Phantom Pain' are all one project.

The 2013 Game Developers conference in San Francisco, California was the platform that the usually mysterious Kojima announced some major details about the next installment of the Metal Gear Solid franchise. After showing up in full face bandages -- hinting at what we would see next  -- he quickly announced the trailer for the new game, which confirmed that 'Ground Zeroes,' MGS5 and 'The Phantom Pain' are indeed the same game. The trailer also revealed that 'The Phantom Pain' portion of the game takes place 9 years after whatever events transpired to cause Big Boss to lose his limb. There are a number of other reveals in the trailer, but they're much funner to watch than read.
