Michigan police were involved in a slow-speed chase over the weekend that resulted in the arrest of a high Southfield woman. Yes, we said slow-speed chase.

Reports indicate that several witnesses spotted a woman driving erratically along Interstate 96 on Saturday evening and called police. When the cops finally caught up with the driver, which did not take long, she refused to stop, leading them on a slow-speed pursuit that never went over 40 mph.

The chase lasted for about four miles before officers used the infamous “box-in” tactic to force the driver to a halt. The woman was arrested on charges of evading law enforcement and driving under the influence of controlled substances. Although nothing in the report details exactly what kinds of drug she was on, we are going to go out on a limb and say that it definitely was not speed.
