Minimum Wage In Michigan To Get 35 Cent Bump In January
The minimum wage has slowly been increasing since 2014. Come January 1st, 2018 the final increase will come into play.
A law passed in 2014 is responsible for getting the minimum wage increased by 25%. Starting in January, 35 cents will be added to Michigan worker's pay to bring it up to $9.25 per hour.
Starting next year, increases will be based on inflation each year. However, increases will also take into account high unemployment rates.
