This Pothole Is Insane…and Burton Residents Are Over It
The great thing about neighborhood Facebook groups is that you can really find out how people are feeling. There's no holding back whatsoever. From roundabouts to loud booms to mystery helicopters, these groups are where it all goes down.
Earlier today, a Burton resident posted something that caught my attention because I’ve been frustrated about the same thing.
Adam Delahaye called out this crazy pothole behind the Meijer store that basically traps every vehicle because there’s just no way around it. It’s more like a series of three or four giant potholes that can seriously mess up your car if you’re not paying attention.
Can we all agree to get on board and CALL-OUT Meijer on Center road to PLEASE FIX that horrendous pothole that almost destroys your car on the back drive towards Atherton. It is INSANE and UNABLE to go around!!!
Thanks, a loyal shopper
As you can imagine, everyone felt his frustration, including me. I always forget about the potholes as I’m leaving, and by the time I remember, it’s too late. It seriously feels like you're off-roading as you leave Meijer.

The series of potholes sits at the end of the road as you exit toward Atherton Road, and like Delahaye said, they’re almost impossible to avoid.
He's not the only one annoyed by the potholes.
Facebook User:
My granddaughter drove through there, now her stability light is on, and traction control probably needs a new wheel bearing.
Another person said they took action and called the corporate office last year.
Facebook User:
I called corporate last year about that same hole; they apologized, and it was fixed a week later.
Well, maybe that's what we need to do again because the situation is way worse than it was last year.

We grabbed some photos to show you, just in case you haven’t had to endure these monstrosities yet.
These photos don’t really do the depth justice because they’re filled with water. Those holes are pretty freaking deep.
Is it really as bad as we claim? Yes. Yes, it is.
I just wanted to shine a little light on the issue in hopes it gets fixed...I guess we’ll see.
