You Have to See These Jaw-Dropping Photos of a Michigan Sunrise
Have you ever seen a photo so stunning that it just stopped you right in your tracks? Well, if not, you're about to.
906 Images strikes again with these jaw-dropping photos of a cold morning sunrise in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The photos were recently taken as the sun was rising over Lake Superior at Picnic Rocks in Marquette.
Over the years, we've been lucky enough to share several photo collections taken by photographer Shannon Kivi, including Two Extremes of Michigan's Beauty, The Northern Lights Over Lake Superior, The U.P.'s Winter Wonderland, and more. It’s as if every collection is more impressive than the last.
His most recent photos continue that trend, proving once again that Michigan's beauty is truly powerful.
Picnic Rocks gets its name from the big, flat rocks that residents and tourists have been using for picnics for years. It's a park that sits on the shores of Lake Superior in Marquette. It’s always been a go-to spot to kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet, with easy access to the water just a stone’s throw away.
It’s like you can almost smell and feel the ice-cold Upper Peninsula air just by looking at his work.
These photos really show off the power and beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and Shannon Kivi nails it every time. If you haven’t experienced this kind of magic in person, you’re definitely missing out. At least, I feel like I’m missing out.
