Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society took some time out from working on their new disc to update fans on a shift in the band’s lineup. Guitarist Nick Catanese, who has been Wylde’s right hand man since 1999, is no longer in the band.

Ahead of its Sept. 24 release, Black Label Society's 'Unblackened' live disc is streaming via Pandora Premieres (click here to listen). In the meantime, the band continues to work on a new studio album.

Black Label Society have unveiled the video for 'Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone,' a cover of the classic Bill Withers song. It's from the live CD 'Unblackened,' due out on Sept. 24. A live DVD, also called 'Unblackened,' but with a slightly different track listing, comes out the same day.

We've started a feud or two with The Cockfight in the past, but this is perhaps the most unusual thing the online song battle has brought about since its inception -- Dr. Phil McGraw (Yes, that Dr. Phil) has pitted his followers against the BLS army.

Black Label Society are known for being loud -- very loud -- but with their new ‘Unblackened’ DVD and CD, they show off their more melodic side while still keeping their thunderous sound. Even though 'Unblackened' isn't due until Sept. 24, frontman Zakk Wylde gave a select few a preview of the new discs at the Collective School of Music in New York City.

Black Label Society have just announced the release of 'Unblackened,' a new live offering from the band. 'Unblackened' will become available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital video and will feature 17 performances of BLS fan favorites.

Several members of the hard rock community are mobilizing to help those in need by recording a benefit track to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of iconic amplifier brand Marshall, the company has announced that they will be taking over London, England’s Wembley Arena on Sept. 22 for a massive concert. The show will feature performances by members of bands such as Iron Maiden, Slipknot, the Cult and Black Label Society.

Zakk Wylde is known for many things, most of them relating to music or being an all-around badass. His latest endeavor has the Black Label Society frontman storming the literary world with what he calls the 'Bible of Stupidity.'

Zakk Wylde previously mentioned plans for an acoustic based DVD with some guest musicians like Slash and Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell. According to the Black Label Society frontman, they will be executing that plan in the very near future.

Black Label Society have announced the release of 'Glorious Christmas Songs That Will Make Your Black Label Heart Feel Good,' as well as some upcoming dates they'll be playing with Guns N' Roses on their U.S. tour.
