Are the Rumors True? Is Wingstop Really Coming to Grand Blanc?
If all goes according to plan, Grand Blanc will be the home to a brand-new Wingstop restaurant.
Earlier this week we told you that Grand Blanc was possibly getting a Chipotle Mexican Grill in the new Marketplace (former Kmart/Farmer Jack location). Now, we're finding that Wingstop could be going in as well.
ABC 12 reported that the city had received plans and that Wingstop had already obtained a building permit. I think all in all that's a pretty good sign that Grand Blanc residents will soon be able to finally enjoy Wingstop, which already has several locations in Michigan.
What is Wingstop?
Wingstop is known for its bone-in wings, boneless wings, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and fries.
I'm a huge fan of bone-in wings but have yet to try Wingstop. It's said that the flavor of their wings is what defines them. They must be doing something right because Wingstop is one of the fastest-growing brands in the restaurant industry.

How Many Wingstop Locations are in Michigan?
There are nearly 2,000 Wingstop restaurants in the United States. While there are 20 Wingstop locations throughout Michigan, this will be the first in Genesee County. Other locations can be found in the following cities.
- Warren (two locations)
- Wayne
- Livonia
- Shelby Township
- Southfield
- Canton
- Sterling Heights
- Royal Oak
- Dearborn
- Roseville
- Detroit (two locations)
- Lansing
- Walled Lake
- Ann Arbor
- Taylor
- Bloomfield Hills
- Rochester
- Lincoln Park
It's unclear when Wingstop will open in Grand Blanc but we assume sometime this year. Hopefully sooner than later. We can't wait to try it.
