
Michigan Lineman Dies in Tragic On-the-Job Accident
We see utility workers out there all the time, working on power lines, fixing outages, and doing the kind of work most of us probably don’t think twice about.
Maybe that’s because tragedies like this don’t happen very often, but this is an awful reminder of just how dangerous that profession can be.
According to WNEM, a Consumers Energy lineman died last week while working on an electrical job in Michigan.
The 48-year-old worker was performing overhead electrical work in Henderson on August 13 when he was electrocuted.
Consumers Energy Responds to Worker’s Death

There really aren’t a lot of details surrounding what happened at this point, but Consumers Energy confirmed the employee’s death and said the company is mourning the loss.

In a statement, Consumers Energy said it is providing support and resources to employees who knew and worked with the lineman, while also extending its love to his family.
Consumers Energy has not released the worker’s name or provided any additional details about exactly what led up to the incident.
