Genesee County residents are excited and patiently waiting for the area’s first Costco to open. It's been a process that’s been talked about and in the works for years.

While construction has been underway for some time, residents are starting to wonder when the membership-based warehouse club will finally open its doors.

Originally, we were told that the new Costco on Hill Road near U.S. 23 would open for the holidays in December. However, we now know that won’t happen quite that soon. It looks like we’ll have to wait until 2025.

Costco Update!
The Costco is going to open in March 2025. Hiring will start somewhere between January and February.
They will announce the GM in the next month here and then fill out the management staff with transfers. Then they will take all employee transfers and whatever is left over they will hire externally.

The anonymous manager also stated that the Mundy Township Costco will feature a new sushi department—unique for the company—and will also include a gas station.
