Habitat for Humanity Accepting Deposit Bottle Donations

With June 15th approaching, many of us have a lot of decisions to make about what to do with our deposit bottles.

The deposit bottles that have been piling up in your garage can be returned starting on June 15th here in Michigan. The question is, what are you going to do with yours? I feel we all have three options. First, return them and get our money back. Second, donate them to a good cause. Or third, continue to let them pile up to avoid the masses that will be heading to the machines. Honestly, there is no wrong answer here. I am still personally trying to figure out what to do with mine.

If you decide to go the donation route, there are plenty of great places to give yours to, including the Genesee County Habitat for Humanity. If you just want to get rid of the pile of bottles and cans asap, you can drop those donations off Monday through Friday to them. Load them up and deliver them to the ReStore on 101 Burton Street in Flint. Boom, done! No more bottles to trip over in the garage and you get the benefit of making a donation in these rough times.

All the proceeds will benefit low to moderate individuals and families in Genesee County to help build them homes. No matter what you do with your stash of aluminum and glass gold you have collected over the last you months, we are all on the same page and extremely happy we can finally get rid of them.
