Jeff Daniels’ New Play ‘Flint’ Highlights The City’s Struggles [VIDEO]
Actor and Michigan native Jeff Daniels has a new play that focuses on the struggles that Flint has endured for so many years.
According to NBC25, the play will focus on the year 2014, which was a full year before the city switched back to the Great Lakes Water Authority. The play is actually about more than just the water crisis. It also tackles racial tensions and the loss of jobs in the auto industry.
What I think is really cool is that the actors are Flint natives or have family ties to the Flint area.
Jeff Daniel's World Premiere of 'Flint' can be seen at The Purple Rose Theatre until March 10th. The Purple Rose Theatre is located in Chelsea which is just west of Ann Arbor. It would be cool if the actual play that's about Flint, would come to Flint...guess not.
