Time to treat your feet! Downtown Grand Blanc is getting ready to welcome a new business to the community, and avid runners are thrilled.

After much speculation, Complete Runner announced that they will be opening a new location on S. Saginaw Street in downtown Grand Blanc. Complete Runner has been busy working on renovations and will occupy the former Palace Jewelers location near Center Road.

The new spot will be the second location for the specialty store that’s been doing business in Flint and Genesee county since 1985. Owner Brad Brown, who purchased the business in 2016, is excited to bring Complete Runner to the southern Genesee County area.

"I love Flint and it will always be a part of Complete Runner, but we needed to branch out to offer our expertise and service to more people," Brown said.

Brown feels the new location will allow Complete Runner to reach more potential customers south of their current location.

"The Grand Blanc community is a great opportunity for that with this second location. In this day and age of self serve internet ordering we want to be the resource where customers can talk to someone, try on products, ask questions and get the right shoe specifically for them", said Brown. "We want to be part of that fitness journey with them. That is what we do and we are excited to share that with Grand Blanc and the surrounding areas".

Complete Runner is all about fitness and offers shoes, apparel, exercise equipment, and nutrition for runners and walkers alike. They pride themselves in staying up on the latest in innovative technology for their customers. The popular local business is also heavily involved in several community partnerships and local races as well such as the Crim Fitness Foundation, London Strong Foundation, Burton Memorial Day 5k Run, and the Burton Race Series just to name a few.

Residents of Grand Blanc are thrilled to be welcoming the new "family" member to the community, especially the runners. Grand Blanc resident, and avid runner, Mary Rzepka-Heron is really looking forward to the opening saying,  "I’ve been going to the Flint location for 9 years. I love them!  Very helpful and knowledgeable. They will help beginner walkers the same way they help elite athletes."

Complete Runner has not yet announced their official opening date, but will provide updates on the Facebook page as well as their website.
