According to a TMZ report, wrestling legend Ric Flair has been hospitalized in Atlanta after suffering what was described as "a very serious" medical emergency.

The 70-year-old icon was rushed to an Atlanta hospital Thursday morning [May 16), but the specifics of what led to his emergency room visit have yet to be revealed.

Flair suffered a health scare back in 2017 when he was placed in a medically induced coma after his intestine ruptured. However, he was able to pull through, and just last year, he wed his girlfriend Wendy Barlow.

The wrestler is widely regarded as one of the greats of the sport, who helped to grow the popularity of wrestling during its rise in the '70s and booming years of the '80s, when he was known as "The Nature Boy." He's been recognized as a 16-time WWE world champion, and has also helped to grow the sport and share his expertise as a wrestling manager as well.
