Flint Southwestern Academy Cancels Classes Due to Westboro Baptist Church Picket

Well, it looks like students at Flint Southwestern Academy will have Friday off thanks to the planned visit from the Westboro Baptist Church.

Last week these nutbags from Topeka, Kansas, announced their plans to picket in front of Southwestern Academy from 6:55 to 7:30 a.m.

According to ABC12, Flint Community Schools announced only Southwestern students will get the day off. The rest of the district's schools will meet as normal Friday.

As we reported last week, their main reason for the Flint stop is because the majority of students come from low-income households, so they need to hear the gospel lol. They said this in their press release, "The condition of these children is very sad; they have no hope, no jobs, no money…only judgment in this life and the next, all because the selfish adults in their lives (parents, preachers, teachers and leaders) have lied to them from the cradle." Their words make me sick to my stomach. Everything they spew is absolute garbage.

Westboro Baptist Church also is planning to picket tomorrow from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. outside the University of Michigan-Flint's Society of Environmental Journalists Annual Conference and from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m. outside Grand Blanc High School. I hate that they feel the need to stop at Grand Blanc High School on homecoming day, that's such bs. I think I'll be making a visit during their stop as well.
